Free for non-commercial and commercial use. However, distribution
of command-line Encoders with other software may need permission.
Usage:
ofr [command] [options] src1 [--output dst1] src2 [--output dst2] ...
Commands:
--encode encode WAV/RAW file(s) to OFR file(s)
--decode decode OFR file(s) to WAV/RAW file(s)
--info print information about OFR file(s)
--verify quick verify integrity of OFR file(s)
--check check raw PCM input data MD5 of OFR file(s)
--help display detailed parameter reference
Options:
--preset level use compression preset level, defined as
0: 1.00x 0.00% # --mode fast --optimize none --no-aca
1: 1.02x 0.54% # --mode fast --optimize none --aca
2: 1.42x 1.56% # --mode normal --optimize fast --aca
3: 2.17x 1.90% # --mode high --optimize fast --aca
4: 2.57x 2.45% # --mode turbonew --optimize fast --aca
5: 2.90x 2.62% # --mode fastnew --optimize fast --aca
6: 3.41x 2.78% # --mode normalnew --optimize fast --aca
7: 4.26x 2.94% # --mode highnew-light --optimize fast --aca
8: 5.10x 3.06% # --mode extranew-light --optimize fast --aca
9: 8.77x 3.33% # --mode bestnew-light --optimize fast --aca
10: 11.57x 3.41% # --mode ultranew-light --optimize fast --aca
max: 11.68x 3.47% # --mode ultranew-light --aca --acm --optimize best
first column is average decoder complexity relative to preset 0
second column is average compression gain relative to preset 0
third column contains the equivalent options for the preset
all presets also include --seek normal, which is the default
+1000 can be added to any preset to activate --acm
+2000 can be added to any preset to activate --optimize best
preset max is currently equivalent with preset 10 + 1000 + 2000
the default preset is 2 and it is implicitly activated
--mode {fast|normal*|high|turbonew|fastnew|normalnew|highnew-light|
extranew-light|bestnew-light|ultranew-light}
also available are extra, best, ultra, insane, highnew,
extranew, bestnew, ultranew, and extrafast, but they are
(significantly) less efficient than the above modes
--silent be as silent as possible
--verbose be verbose
--overwrite overwrite existing file(s)
--time display elapsed time for every operation
--md5 store MD5 of original raw PCM input data
--timestamp set destination file time stamp from source
--deleteafter delete source file after successful operation
--selfextract create self extracting (executable) file
--incorrectheader allow incorrect RIFF and data chunk sizes in WAV
header, typically 0xFFFFFFFF, and correct them after encoding
--writefreshheader write a fresh standard WAV header at decoding
--raw specify raw input file(s)
--channelconfig {MONO|STEREO_LR}
--sampletype {UINT8|SINT8|UINT16|SINT16|UINT24|SINT24|UINT32|SINT32}
--rate frequency
--headersize size save the first size bytes as header
--tailsize size save the last size bytes (or a few more) as tail
--seek {fast|normal*|slow|min}
--optimize {none|fast*|normal|high|best}
--maximumcompression (deprecated option, use --preset max)
try to obtain the maximum possible compression
* must be used alone, do NOT specify --mode, --seek, --optimize
* WARNING: very slow encoding, mainly for benchmark
equivalent with --mode ultranew --optimize best --seek slow
--experimental (deprecated name, use --advanced-compression)
--advanced-compression
enable advanced compression, which is stable, but NOT backward
compatible with any previous 4.5xx versions
* use with any mode for greatly improved compression for some
files (on average, 0.60% better compression for Audio CDs)
* extranew speed: encoding < 35% slower, decoding < 11% slower
* can be also used together with --maximumcompression
--advanced-compression-analysis or --aca (activated by default)
--no-advanced-compression-analysis or --no-aca
enable or disable advanced compression analysis, which obtains
most of the compression improvements of --advanced-compression,
while being faster than it at both encoding and decoding
--advanced-compression-modeling or --acm
enable advanced compression modeling, which further improves
compression very slightly, however with slower encoding
